Driving Change in Cancer Care

The OSUCCC – James is one of only 51 cancer programs in the United States designated as a National Cancer Institute (NCI) comprehensive cancer center. With more than 200 oncologists, each of whom specializes in just one type of cancer, the OSUCCC – James offers expert sub-specialization, which leads to more productive integration with cancer research and, ultimately, to better outcomes.

The cancer programs of Mercy Health in Lorain, Springfield and Lima provide integrated multidisciplinary care and are accredited by the nationally recognized Commission on Cancer. Using leading-edge technology, the teams collaborate to provide evidence-based care to optimize recovery and survival rates. These outcomes will only be strengthened through the affiliation with The James Cancer Network, as the oncology program collaborates with experts at the OSUCCC – James to enhance the cancer care of patients by increasing and strengthening services offered in the Lima, Springfield and Lorain community, providing streamlined continuity of care, and increasing awareness and access to clinical trials and research
